About Nexus
Welcome to the Nexus debate on The Third Way
What are the principles that should define UK political economy and welfare state over next 10 years?

As part of an ongoing consultation with Downing St., there will be a discussion on NEXUS UK-policy on 'The Third Way' from Mon 26 Jan - Fri 6 Feb.

Please join in. The details of the discussion will be summarised in the form of a briefing document for the Prime Minister and Policy Unit, and will form the basis of a seminar at Downing Street in late February.

If you have not already signed onto the discussion list, you can do so here using the form below.

Starting points for the discussion include:

  • How are dynamism and equity to be combined in the UK's emerging political economy?
  • What is the political philosophy that should underwrite this political economy?
  • What are the implications of that political philosphy for the restructuring of the welfare state?
