This Nexus conference took place on July 3rd 1988 at King's College, London.
Delegates assembled to listen to Alan Milburn, MP, Dr Sue Goss and Professor David
Marquand debate the role of the State in the political process today, chaired
by Peter Wilby, editor of the New Statesman. 
Conference papers will be posted to this area of the Nexus website (marked with a

conclusions reached. We will also be discussing the issues on the uk-policy mailing
list, as well as the specific debate on Third
Way economic policy taking place on the 3way list.
