IP Top - New European Interactive Publishing Award - nominees and
winners announced in Zurich.
The strategic summit for new media publishers, 'Interactive Publishing'
together with Ringier and the web publication Europemedia.com, has
established a new and prestigious award for European interactive
publishing. The first award was presented during the 5th Interactive
Publishing conference (11 to 13 November in Zurich, Switzerland) in the
presence of the key players in the European interactive publishing
industry.
Sponsored by publisher Ringier, IP Top highlights the best interactive
publishing ventures from all European countries, in all languages and
formats. The new award reflects the need for a European voice in matters
digital.
The entries were judged by an international professional jury with
consideration to content, interactivity, community features and
innovation. Awards categories were 'Best Content", "Best Community" and
"Special Surprise". The jury observed how more and more European
companies consider themselves in the publishing business, with 130
entries from 15 countries covering a wide variety of content and
services. All of the jury members were particularly impressed with the
high quality of sites from Norway and Sweden; it was also observed how
an online battle is looming in Europe between the print publishers and
the public broadcasters. And next year the jury expects an even more
powerful struggle...
