I would like to endorse the opinion expressed by Mike Bracken concerning "the
redistribution (of wealth?) from single people to married couples with
children,"

It seems inappropriate for a third way debate and fails to recognise core
changes in society in the UK (whether or not we approve of these changes is a
different matter) and is simply out of date.
