Very interesting conversation.... We are following it with great
interest here in Washington, D.C. at DLC/PPI - the birth place of the
New Democrat movement and major advocates of the Third Way.

I wanted to make sure you knew about the New Progressive Declaration,
published in 1996 that was our take on the Third Way in the context of a
political philosophy for the information age...

FYI - In the New Progressive Declaration we state: "(We) favor vigorous
public and private efforts to reinforce the norms of marriage and family
and to put responsibility for nurturing children ahead of abstract
concerns over the parents' rights."
