- DfEE Report on
Universities and Regions
This study has
sought to develop a framework for analysing and guiding university engagement
with the economic development process at a regional level. It focuses on
employment issues and
draws primarily on experience of various initiatives in the North East of
England. Additional
insights have been derived from work in the South East region, with the
National Inquiry for
Higher Education and the OECD programme on Institutional Management in
Higher Education.

EDU-ONLINE is
based in Canada. It is an open, moderated discussion list
for professionals activity involved in delivering training and education
via the Internet. Topics discussed include emerging technologies, online
training methodologies, online curriculum development, and other
aspects of exploiting the online medium to deliver quality professional
development.

The HEFCE was established
in May 1992 under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 as a
non-departmental public body operating within the context of Government
policy.

The Higher Education Statistics Agency was set
up by the UK universities and higher education colleges to collect,
analyse and report on HE statistics. Here you

The Higher
Education Funding Councils for England, Scotland and Wales distribute
funds for the provision of education and the undertaking of research by
higher education institutions.
